In the land of the “brave. and the free” some academics have suffered damage to their careers because of their Christian faith. Others, who merely expressed doubts about Darwinism, suffered because colleagues suspected they might have a religious agenda. An informed public is the first line of defense against these situations.

There is no doubt that the artifacts of ancient Eygpt exert a certain fascination on most people. However the standard interpretation of Eygptian history is difficult to fit into a Biblical context. Richly illustrated, this book is part history and part personal account about the making of the film “Amaziing Grace”. This book celebrates the efforts of William Wilberforce, who worked tirelessly to bring about the abolition of the Slave Trade in the British Empire. 2007 was the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade, but a bill for actual freedom did not pass the British parliament until 1833. It was Wilberforce’s Christian ideals which led him to change the course of history. Read the book for itself or to supplement the film. In either case, history comes alive.
